There’s Room at the Inn

Have you made your hotel reservation for the Guild Show? The special IGMA room block rate expires July 14, or when the block is full, so now is the time to give them a call!

The Teaneck, New Jersey location of the show gives attendees access to New York City via the bus stop just outside the hotel’s doors. A short ride and you can be touring the world famous Metropolitan Museum, or take the elevators up the just opened One World Observatory and enjoy unparalleled views of Manhattan and it surrounds.

The Show features two days of classes, live and silent auctions, Artisan and Fellow member dealers as well as general and international dealers with fabulous merchandise in every category, including materials and tools for those who prefer to do it themselves. There is a special sales area for the beginning (under 14) collectors, and exhibits of amazing miniature work to ooh and aah over.

There are also several special events this year. If you get into town early, there is a little field trip up the Historic Hudson River on Wednesday. Thursday night is the ever popular Broadway night excursion, a delicious Italian dinner and the show An American in Paris.  Friday evening, when the dealers have finished setting up, there is a wonderful gathering for all to enjoy, with a free and bountiful dessert buffet (with more healthful options) and demonstrations by IGMA artists.

Check out the dealer list on the show’s web pages for the list of current dealers, as well as those Artisan and Fellow members who will be showing (and selling) their work through the Gallery of the Guild. It promises to be another wonderful opportunity for some excellent shopping and fun social interaction with your miniature friends.
