Forums proliferate on the internet. There are probably several forums out there for just about every topic you can imagine and posting a question in one or more of them is usually a great way to find an answer to a perplexing problem you may have encountered.
When it comes to miniatures, there are several generic forums or chat groups, and one or two very specific forums, but this year the International Guild of Miniature Artisans has spent a great deal of time to design and craft a forum devoted to the entire range of miniatures with
separate ‘rooms’ for topics like Textiles, Metalwork, and Structures and Dollshouses and even a room for ‘Dream Projects’–talk about some challenging possibilities there!
The forum is open to everyone, you do not have to be a member of IGMA, just create an account by clicking the button in the upper right corner and when that is completed, you can join in the conversations. Most of the conversations revolve about scratch built projects that have been made or are in the process of being made. Quality of the workmanship is highlighted and very much in vogue on the site and photos are always welcome.
The forum is the brain child of Bill Robertson whose interest in process and accurate reproduction of an item in accurate scale, down to the n-th degree, is widely known and respected.
