Artists are putting the final touches on their new merchandise, displays are getting packed and shipped, suitcases are being readied for packing…its almost time!
I will be heading out to the Teaneck Marriott for the Guild Show next week, excited to be a dealer there again, and looking forward to being back within the miniatures community that will be gathering there next weekend. I’ve finished some new pieces I really love for my table, and if you can judge by what other dealers are posting on Facebook, they’re excited
about the new pieces they’ve been working on as well. It looks like there is going to be a lot of wonderful options for my shopping pleasure.
Besides the dealer tables, the Guild will also be running silent and live auctions and the IGMA website has just posted a page of photos of items that will be up for auction Saturday evening. IGMA is very grateful for the items so generously donated by their members which help to support the educational programs that the Guild sponsors.
Guild Artisan and Fellow members are also stocking the shelves of the Gallery of the Guild, a consignment service the Guild provides for those members who will not be able to be at the show to sell their work personally. I’ve gotten some special pieces there and discovered new work from Artisans and Fellows whose work I hadn’t encountered before.
I am also looking forward to the gathering Friday night. It will be a chance to catch up with old friends and share my love of needlework in the demonstration area. Will I see YOU there?
