Seminar Information for Registered 2026 Guild School Students

For Registered Guild School Students and Instructors Only

Seminars are scheduled on Sunday and Monday evenings, ranging from one hour to two and a half in length. Seminars may be a lecture, a question & answer session or a hands-on experience complete with project..

DEADLINE for Submission: March 20, 2026

  • Seminars are taught by instructors and by students who are Artisan or Fellow members of the Guild and who are willing to share their expertise. Occasionally, a seminar is given by a person not an Artisan or Fellow member, but who has general information to share in support of advancing miniaturists’ knowledge.
  • Assignment to seminars will be on a LOTTERY DRAWING basis. Due to geographical, postal and email inconsistencies, we are striving for a more equitable approach as to how assignments are made.
  • Seminars that have a fee, will be added to the invoice with your tuition payment.
  • You may not sign up for seminars after the lottery drawing. However, you may sign up for seminars in Castine, upon arrival, if there are openings and the instructor is prepared to accommodate additional students.
  • You will receive confirmation of your seminar assignment with your registration packet upon arrival. Following the lottery drawing, seminar lists will be posted on this page.
  • When making your selections be sure to indicate your choices in order of preference…1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th for each evening.
  • Some instructors teach a different seminar each night. Some repeat the same seminar. Read carefully!
  • Please note that some seminars require you to bring supplies/tools to class as noted in the seminar descriptions. These are usually common hand tools and quite minimal. Occasionally, a seminar requires a more complex supply list. The class lists posted on the website will include the supplies you need to bring. The list of students in each class will be posted with the class information on this page.
  • If you choose to mail in your choices, you may mail a check to pay for your first choices. Otherwise, I will invoice you once the lottery has been completed. FILL OUT THE SELECTION FORM and return to me by March 20th – in my hands, not postmarked! I very much prefer E-mailed forms. The lottery drawing will take place March 23.
