Most miniaturists I know are not averse to a little partying. In the past, the Gathering of the Guild, which precedes the opening of the annual Guild Show, was a little bit of a party. This year it has been expanded into a true evening of fun and food–of the yummy variety. Instead of drinks and hors d’oeurves, this year its drinks and desserts–chocolate does make everything just a little better! And, in addition to that, there will be demonstrations and various activities to see and try your hand at.

Have you ever wondered what those stitchers meant when they talked about 48 count silk gauze? Or why someone would want a fence for their table saw-and its not exactly to keep the kids away from it. Do you have trouble keeping the corners square on your picture frames? And what does a cane made from polymer clay have to do with food? These, and many other intriguing questions will be answered when you stop by the Teaneck Marriott Friday, September 28 at 7 p.m. for the Gathering of the Guild. Its not just for Guild members, its for anyone that enjoys miniatures. Come see what we’re all about!
