A Taste of the Renaissance

A first time dealer at the Guild Show, Christina Goodman is someone you may not have seen at any other miniatures show, but she has been very well known in the fine arts and crafts market for many years. I bought a piece of her exquisitely painted jewelry many years ago and the tiny perfection of it immediately suggested to me that it would make a wonderful addition to my dollhouse. Luckily for us, a customer suggested to Christina that she try a miniatures show and here she is.

Christina comes from a background in fine art painting and faux finishing and has been making painted jewelry and small objects for about 20 years. Her fondness for the Renaissance masters is evident in many of her paintings, in fact they look as if some mad genius has taken a shrink ray gun to the Uffizi Galleries and snuck out with them in his pocket.

Christina has also been working on pieces inspired by 19th and 20th century artists, and is planning to have a selection of them, as well as her Renaissance inspired pieces along with sculptures and room screens for sale at the show. You can see more of Christina’s work on her website, www.christinagoodman.com or better yet, come see her at the show!
