COURSE: Painting with Heat Set Oil Paints
PROJECT: The Flying Cloud by Montague Dawson
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
No need to worry about getting seasick here. This is the perfect vintage piece for a gentlemen’s study, or any lover of nautical lore. By simplifying basic forms and using easy techniques, students will be surprised at just how enjoyable this beautiful little painting is to create. Students will work on a pre-primed and pre- sketched laminated panel. Step by step instructions will assure that students won’t go adrift along the way. Lecture time is minimal and the instructor will actively be involved with students on the creation of their masterpiece. By using heat set oil paints, students will not have to wait for paint to dry, making progress very fast. The finished painting will measure about 2 ¾" long. Wooden frames to fit will be offered as an option at an additional cost.
